Guest guest
Paragraph 23 Regulation of diet, restricting it to satvic food taken in moderate quantity, is of all the rules of conduct the best; and it is most conducive to the development of the satvic qualities of the mind. These, in their turn, assist one in the practice of Atma vichara or enquiry in quest of the Self. COMMENTS There are important points for a seeker here. I take this beyond just what Ramana said. The seeker can look at their lives and see what makes their practice prosper and what does not. Then one can make new choices that support the practice. One thing that my teacher, Nome, recommends is that periodically the seeker review their practice and see what is working and what is not. Then continue to choose what is working for them spiritually. What I have seen in my own practice (and life) is that generally I am more satvic. I have less time of agitation (rajas), or dullness (tamas). This does provide a strong support to practice. ----------------------------- Your comments are invited.
