Guest guest
"Leave no seeker behind"--and an open-forum question Hi Group, I am getting settled here and have an email account now. But they are keeping us busy. I have to fight the food demons because the food is so darn good and plentiful here. Speaking of food: I have been having conversations with everyone from meditation masters down to the common man about meditation, Zen, Buddhism and nondual beliefs, and all interfacing (or so they think) with Catholicism. Here I sat down and started talking to a woman from my home town on a Catholic retreat in which they are being taught Zen buddhists practices, walking meditation and the like. She says that she is interested because her son's best friend got the call to seek and is living somewhere in India (she did not know where) and studying with Yogi masters. That could be anywhere in any ashrama in India. But that is beside the point. The point being one which I was trying to make here, on this group that the masses are "out there" and doing things like learning to meditate and having kundalini experiences but they have no guides and most of all have no guidance re: vegetarianism. So my question tonight to this group is this: Is there any harm done to the lower bodies if one is meditating, more than a few minutes a day, and is not following any sort of diet. That is for new seekers not the ones like me who may change diet in midstream and later come back to it? I know that RM teaches we should, so my question is also two-pronged what if people are not getting this training, then what is happening if anything to them spiritually?
