I have observed the different spiritual factions.

Fortunately we have a variety or God might get bored and end the creation. Then

we would not have any spiritual goals left or ever see the next messiah come and

raise the dead from their graves.

 

I validate this Ramana Guru Bhakti faction. They converse internally with the

Ramana Ghost pleading with him to free them from their pain and suffering and

merge with him. When unskillful desires arise they plead with their personal

Ramana Ghost to take those desires away. All waking hours are spend in loving

and abiding with that Ramana Ghost. If they do something wrong, they plead with

their personal Ramana Ghost to expiate their sins.

Question for this faction. Does not your illusory worship amount to worshiping

an object or idol? Does not Ramana say to do Self Inquiry and place your

attention on the subject or the "I Am"? So is not this Bhakti worship counter

productive?

When I tried it and channeled Ramana on Harsha, many members took umbrage and

had me banned. So I concluded Ramana Bhakti was not for me.

 

Then there is the "no effort faction", which states that you cant get to that

state of non-perception of objects with effort, so why try. When someone says

that they will put in more effort, they say why don't you just be, you already

are the Self.

"Your only going to reinforce your ego".

I have no questions for this faction because I don't believe it will work.

Then we have the "go into full time practice" faction that yours truly belongs

to. We quote Nisargadatta: "you can do anything with training". "Put in effort

and wait for results". "You have to meditate". This faction believes that we are

somehow stuck with this corrupted program that makes us believe that we are

separate and that we are the body. This faction along with the other factions

talks to themselves all day long, like there are two or more persons contained

in their psyche. This faction believes that with total devotion to practice it

can write a program to Realize the Self and be forever free of mental

tendencies, identification with the body and merge back into the Godhead. I have

no questions for this faction, do you?

They are all valid (Bhakti, Jnana, Karma).

 

While the teachings of the sages are suited to time, place and other

considerations, in the end, all leads to the place where, having abandoned

Lokavicara, one submits to Atmavicara.

all of them. Thus I-AM. 'THAT ' IS ABIDING AND FUNDAMENTAL REALITY.

be there in order to deny it. This pure existence is understood by

stilling your mind. The mind is the outgoing faculty of the

individual. If that is turned within , it becomes still in the

MUST BE AWARE OF THE THOUGHT WAVES ARISING AND FALLING LIKE WAVES IN

YOUR MIND.

SOME ARE NOT AWARE OF THIS PROCESS WHICH IS GOING ON IN

THEIR''HEAD'', THOUGHTS ARE A PART OF THEIR SYSTEM AND THEY ARE

NOT''CONSCIOUS'' OF THEIR THOUGHTS.. FOR THEM RAMANA'S TEACHINGS ARE

INDEED CONFUSING.

 

TO COME FACE TO FACE WITH THOUGHTS YOU NEED TO HAVE A QUITE TIME FOR

YOURSELF[LIKE IN MEDITATION ] THEN YOU WILL BE AWARE OF THE THOUGHT

WAVES IN THE FORM OF MEMORIES OR IMAGINATION ABOUT THE FUTURE EVENTS

AND THE LIKE.

WHEN YOU BECOME AWARE OF THIS THOUGHT PROCESS THEN YOU WILL

DEFINITELY MAKE AN EFFORT TO REDUCE THE HUM DRUM IN YOUR MIND.

AT THAT TIME.... YOU WILL POSITIVELY EMBRACE RAMANA'S TEACHINGS.

TILL THEN YOU WILL BE CONFUSED AND HOWEVER MUCH ANY ONE MAY DESCRIBE

TO YOU RAMANA'S WAY, ITS WILL BE LIKE DESCRIBING AN OBJECT TO A

BLIND PERSON . I SUGGEST YOU START MEDITATION OR AT LEAST SIT

QUIETLY IN A PLEASNT LOCATION AT LEAST FOR 10 MINUTES A DAY AND

WATCH YOUR THOUGHT---BECOME AWARE OF THEM AND THEN YOU WILL START

FEELING THAT THESE THOUGHTS ARE ARISING FROM THE DEPTHS OF YOUR

HEART JUST LIKE WAVES IN THE OCEAN AND YOU WILL DEFINITELY BE

TEMPTED TO

TRACE THE ORIGIN OF THOSE THOUGHTS.

STORE ''UNWANTED OBJECTS '' IN YOUR HOUSE ...IN THE SAME MANNER YOU

YOU SHOULD NEVER SUPRESS THEM OR ELSE THEY WILL BOOMERANG... JUST

WHERE THE SELF/JESUS/GURU RESIDES I.E YOUR HEART...SO MAKE A PATH

WAY FROM YOUR HEAD TO YOUR HEART AND BRING BACK THE ''UNWANTED

THOUGHT'' TO ITS PLACE OF ORIGIN. YOU CAN IMAGINE THAT THERE IS A

CONSTANT FIRE BURNING IN YOUR HEART IN THE FORM OF SELF/JESUS OR

GURU/ AND THEN ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TO TAKE THE THOUGHTS TO THAT

FIRE [MENTALLY] AND BURN IT IN THAT FIRE OF SELF.

IN THE BEGINNING YOU CAN WEAR A CROSS OR A LOCKET OF YOUR FAVOURITE

GURU/GOD AND MENTALLY TRACE THE THOUGHTS BACK TO THAT LOCKET WHICH

Alton, the INTENTION is a determining factor in spirtual practice and it is=

easy to be on a spiritual-hedonistic trip. Ask yourself the 3 questions:

"Why do I wish to meditate, or do spiritual practice?

"What do I wish to gain by it ?"

"What is my aim as regards my Life and my Development ?"

and total 'surrender'.... It is a state of hopelessness which says that the=

re is no way out.... Any movement in any direction, on any dimension, at any=
