What you perceive to be "reality" or an individual to merge is an illusion based on the identification with a false ego. No one merges into it because there is no one in the first place. There is infinite consciousness that expresses as an apparently solid reality. There is not now nor has there ever been an independent entity or world. The cosmos is a unified, psycho-physical plastic that has no independent existence.
