Guest guest
I just discovered a source of interesting photographs related to Sri Ramana Maharshi that, for the most part, I had not seen before. They were taken by Henri-Cartier Bresson, the famous photographer, who happened to visit Sri Ramanasramam during the week that Bhagavan died. I just learned that some of the pictures he took during that week are contained in a widely-available book called "Henri Cartier-Bresson In India" (Bullfinch Press). The book contains a picture of Bhagavan just before he died (this is the only picture I had seen before); a picture of mourners at Bhagavan's funeral; a picture of Bhagavan's body being buried (brought tears to my eyes, he looks so dead!); and a picture of Bhagavan's white peacock. There are also many other wonderful photographs of India, and a terrific introduction about Hinduism in general. The book is expensive ($35) but it's really a nice book. The photographs are reproduced with the same quality seen in museum catalogues.
