Guest guest
4, The world and individuals (jiva-s), seemingly real, Are nothing apart from the Reality, Brahman. And not a whit different from Brahman, which is That alone. This is the Truth, there is no doubt about this. The Supreme Brahman, which is Existence alone, Is ever our true nature. The true nature of the world and such is a superimposition On the Supreme Brahman, which is That alone. 5. Apart from the Supreme Brahman, which is Knowledge, Neither you or I nor anyone exists. Without the Supreme Brahman, which is Knowledge, There is no multitude of appearances like the body and such. With the Supreme Brahman, which is natural Knowledge, There is not reality, unreality, or reality-unreality. Without the Supreme Brahman, which is Knowledge, There are no divisions such as the Supreme, the individuals, and the world. ----------- My comment: look to the Reality that is your identity. do not concern yourself with that which is transitory and ultimately unreal. Guest guest
Dear Purushaz, In these quotes sages of old tell us how it is. I think our task as seekers is to find out for ourselves how this is true. (and don't waste too much energy on arguing with them). After a number of years' inquiry and discrimination I feel a much stronger bhava (conviction) that what is real is Being-Consciousness-Bliss. I am still a seeker, and still have not the final Self-knowledge to stand as the Self, so, yes, I still pay the rent, and work for the money to do so. I work with more inner peace, though, with less identification as the worker, more joy and freedom. I do feel my focus moving within, that is a big part of the process, learing to look within for one's happiness (and Reality) rather than from the many things of the world. As to Nome, there are many things: a constant equaniminity, never a sign of "personal" behavior -- in terms of him, and in terms of his relating with others, the constant depth of his teaching. I have the opportunity to work with Nome in different ways over the years, and the clarity and depth and peace are always there. Again, never a sign of the personal, never any desire for recognition, the ready support for the seeker(s). The way he is always ready to answer the questions of people at satsang and always take them deeper than where they stood when they asked the question. No matter what question from whom. They way that he shows me the REality that I am. There is more, but that is enough for now.
