Guest guest
Dear Heloise , it may help to understand that Ramana told a visitor who found surrender difficult that 'total surrender was impossible at the beginning , but partial surrender was possible for all and that would eventually lead to total surrender '.He also said that all the Yogas overlap , Bhakti , Karma and Jnana .Raja Yoga is indirectly referred to in his Essay on Delf Enquiry when he considered Raja Yoga techniques such as Breath Control , Withdrawal of the Senses etc, as good aids to Self Enquiry , his principle teaching .Alan PS> My own oppinion is that Diving Into the Heart is best approached through Raja Yoga , but not every one finds it easy . He also said Hatha Yoga was an aid as was Celibacy {but not essential }. Vegeterianism was also a great aid {with milk products} and abstinence from alcohol and tobacco . .
