Guest guest
One Ramasatha Brahmachari has come to Bhagavan when he was very young and was deeply attached to him for his Virupaksha days. In the early twenties, there was a severe outbreak of plague in Tiruvannamalai. Some of the inmates of Skandasraman, where Ramana was staying, died of the plague. Ramanatha Brahmachari also developed plague boils and was in a miserable condition when some of them burst. Some of the devotees thought of a ruse to protect Ramana from contamination of plague. They suggested circumambulation of the Hill. On the way they told Ramana not to return to Skandaraman. They said that they would look after Ramanatha Brahmachari while Ramana could stay elsewhere. When Ramana heard this he retorted, 'What a wonderful idea! He came to me as a boy with complete faith in me. Is it proper for me to stay here leaving him there? If you are so afraid of plague, you may all stay here. I will go and stay with him. When you bring food for him, you can bring some for me also.'
