Guest guest
Saradamma: Before Self-realisation I used to think how lucky I was to have a great Guru like Swamy, and how lucky I was to feel such great devotion towards him. I can now see that this was just another suble manifestation of the ego. Thinking that one has a good Guru causes the ego to rise because it makes one think that one is better off than other people who don't have a good Guru. When one sits in meditation, the ego often rises simply because one is having a good experience. One can become very quiet and still and think, "I am having a good meditation. If I carry on like this I surely realise the Self in this life." Thinking that one is meditating well is just another manifestation of the ego. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No Mind I am the Self ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
