Guest guest
Dear Friends: It is my experience and observation that mature devotees of Bhagavan Ramana tend to be kind and compassionate to others. In that way, they are simply reflecting Bhagavan's teaching of One Self, Same Self in all. Sri Ramana used to say that compassion and nonviolence are the natural manifestations of Self-Realization. When we are aggressive in demonstrating our wisdom through biting criticism of others, it is rarely constructive. It is not easy to balance being true to our own views with minimizing hurting the feelings of others. It requires attention and awareness. Of course, I love a good laugh now and then, so I should not say too much on all this. But you get the general gist. To me, the great Sage of Arunachala, Sri Ramana, is truly beyond comparison with other Gurus. This list is dedicated to the pure teachings of Self-Realization of Sri Ramana. He manifested the radiance of the Self in all that He did. This is why I recommend that those who are genuinely interested in the great Sage read his dialogues and read what the devotees said of him and how the Sage lived his life for 53 years at Arunachala. If one becomes attuned to the teachings of Sri Ramana, one has found the True Guru. One may enjoy many teachings, but One who Knows the Self will never be attracted to anything other than the Self. All teachings and teachers are contained in that.
