Guest guest
Dear Vicki, > And we can share safely - our practice , our experiences, > our thoughts, our feelings on the permanent background > of Ramana Maharshi as the unique and beloved guide > of each one of us. Yes, for sure we can do - but nevertheless experiences, thoughts, feelings are fleeting matters - and with practicing vichara interest in that is lost. Experiences may be many - but the one who is interested in them vanishes. So what stays? > Why not put a little the theory from books aside > and talk about self-enquiry , the I-thought and the experience > of the Heart directly from your own experience ? What we find in books may first be theory. When it starts to work and become practice we learn to deal vividly with the teaching we find there. The teaching enters the heart and resonates here in understanding. > > Friends with valuable and unique and precious insights and > experiences of Reality - permanented or not yet - > bring your treasures out ! > > We are quoting but not only . > We are talking about but not only . > > Truth is living experience , not quoting , not talking about. Yes, for sure. Nevertheless in quotes it sometimes finds its best expression. In Sri Ramana Gabriele
Guest guest
OK About 20 years ago I was lying down on a hard mattress, and I had meditated on Rmana Maharshi for 10 years or more before. I had a vision of the famous portrait, and it turned into stars, and the stars became a form of ecstasy, which was the Infinite. A fool, I rejected that vision. I'm scuttling back! Guest guest
Dear Jiva , you write "I rejected that vision - like a fool" .My interpretation , and have had a similar memory of rejecting an experience of a different kind, many years ago , is that we were not the 'rejectors' as we are never the " Doers "of any action , although we always imagine we are .It just means you were not ready yet - but had a call from the Sat-Guru, now after 20 years you are prepared for the great adventure of Surrender and Enquiry .Perhaps the Para Atman has arrived for you ?Best wishes Alan --- Jiva Das <jiva> wrote:

 OK
About 20 years ago I was lying down on a hard mattress, and I had
meditated on Rmana Maharshi for 10 years or more before.
I had a vision of the famous portrait, and it turned into stars, and
the stars became a form of ecstasy, which was the Infinite.
A fool, I rejected that vision.
I'm scuttling back!

A tap to Terms of Service.

Everything you'll ever need on one web page from News and Sport to Email and Music Charts http://uk.my.''>http://uk.my.'>http://uk.my. Guest guest
Dear Vick, for sure we can do. Guest guest
Dear Jiva, Your message about "scuttling back" has set a new record here for attracting replies! Here's another: In what sense did you reject the vision? I don't understand. In fact, I don't understand how it's possible to reject such a vision. It appeared and then like all experiences it has to fade. What can you do with such a thing except see it while it's there?
