Guest guest
Dear viorica, It was wonderful to see you back in this newsgroup overflowing with love. Reflecting on the Bliss it seemed was your experience, I wondered about the place of Bliss in my practice. Now I just wanted to write a bit about Bliss from the perspective of one following inquiry. Your's is a path of Surrender and Devotion, mine is of Self-inquiry. At the recent retreat I asked about Bliss as a focus of inquiry. Having read of and heard of Sat-Chit-Ananda, and knowing that either Being or Consciouness are fine approaches to inquiry (and knowing by Self-Knowledge that Being and Consciousness are inseparable), I wondered how to use Bliss in inquiry? The sages said that, for a bhakti, the path could be described as "Bliss into Bliss." For those following a path of inquiry, Bliss is best used in another way. If the focus is on Bliss directly, one easily can get drawn into body-misidentification (they instructed), so ways to use Bliss in inquiry include approaches like, "What is the source of Bliss?", "Where is Bliss experienced?", and "What is the experience of Bliss?" Of course as one opens to the Self, there is this ... how can one describe it? To me it is Peace, others might say Bliss. Thank you for sharing your Bliss with this newsgroup.
