Guest guest
Ramana's path is straight, one travels from illusion to knowledge by a proper understanding of the mind. This implies understanding its nature and its source. Source! One has to proceed step by step. Was there a mind in sleep? No. Is there a mind on waking? Yes. It must have a source, must it not? Otherwise where can it subside and wherefrom can it rise again? Surely it must be from within oneself. For there is no break in the identify, in the continuity between the two states. The source must, inferentially, be said to be an energizing source, for one wakes up refreshed, and recalls the repose enjoyed during sleep. One would not like to miss sleep even for a single day. The second point therefore it that the source just be fullness of consciousness, responsible for this daily rejuvenation.
