Guest guest
...........Ramana says, "Immediately, a thought arises, it must be annihilated at its source. If entertained for a little while, it would hurl one down headlong like a treacherous friend." This requires patience and more patience for the enemy is long entrenched. The habitual way is to be focused on the minds center, on the 'I' thought. As Ramana once remarked, the malaise arises because "on has never faced the 'I'. The mind's searchlight has never been on itself but on the movement of thought, away from itself. But self-enquiry, taught by Ramana, is a sure means, and infallible way to get to the source. Thoughts will become weakened, enervated and reduced in number by the simple act of ignoring them. They die from inattention. Ramana has given the analogy of capturing a foot by starving its inmates, by a siege which cuts off food and water supply to the soldiers within it. >From Timeless in Time by Natarajan
