Dear Alan: so very thankful and grateful to the Grace that led me to

this group and folks like you. Maharshi's many statements were direct

(and hit the nail right on the head) like the one you gave below.

 

reminded of the story of missing 10th man; after crossing the river,

each one in the group of 10 counted a total of 9 leaving themselves

out and completely convinced themselves and the others that the 10th

person is lost. It took an elderly bystander to show them their

incorrect counting method and the false conclusion based on that. He

is the Guru who removes the darkness by being the light of Knowledge;

and like this anology the Knowledge thus acquired is bound to be

instantaneous and irreversible.
