Guest guest
Dear All, why not study Upadesa Saram (Upadesa Undiyar) together and share about? I have different translations, some with commentaries: by D.M. Sastri, by Narasimha Swami, one published by Sri Ramana Kshetra, by Swami Dayananda and Swami Tejomayananda and the translation by Swaminathan. Possibly some more will be found in the bookshelf - I will start a search. (There must be also one by Ganapati Muni, Viswanatha Swami, Sadhu Om and A.R. Natarajan.) Possibly someone has and would also like to share some out of it. Upadesa Saram seems to be the most translated and commented work of Bhagavan. What do you think about? Guest guest
Dear Gabriele , an inspired idea - a cyberspace Study Group - 1 verse at a time daily - inviting comment and differing translations .Would it be on both sites ? perhaps the Main Rammana Site could cover all interested members ? Guest guest
Dear Alan and All, yes, very good! Will be a pleasure to post each day or second day 1 verse from various translations with snips out of various commentaries starting today evening, but it can only be a subjective selection. Please anyone who likes to add to it do!! Also each one please feel free to discuss and share about. The commented transl. by A.R. Natarajan was also found in one of his books together with the word by word rendering by Viswanatha Swami. The ones really missing are that by Ganapati Muni and Sadhu Om. Does anyone know where it is found or possibly can add some out of it here then?
