A visitor asked "there is differentiation made between the

sentient and the insentient [chit and jada] in the opening verse of

Upadesa Saram .

 

Maharshi: The Upadesa is from the standpoint of the hearer

..there is no truth in the insentient [jada].one whole

consciousness [chit] prevails all alone .

A learned Telagu visitor , who had composed a song in praise of

Sri Bhagavan , read it out , placed it at his feet and saluted .After

a time he asked for upadesa .

 

Maharshi; The upadesa is contained in Upadesa Saram .
