Finally when the inquiry is beyond even the mind it is the most excellent. (that is not in this verse, though). To me, this is like Sankara's instruction to discriminate from "gross to subtle." (which is to inquire through the 5 sheaths) Am I the body? Am I the life-energy? Am I the mind? Am I the intellect? Am I the bliss-filled causal state (found with the empty mind or in deep sleep)?
