For the exalted yogi

abiding steadily in the natural state,

having destroyed the mind,

is there any action left?

Yogis are of two kinds. Those who have controlled their mind

and those whose mind has become pure, free from any mental movements.

It is only the latter who can be termend 'exalted yogis'. Self-knowledge is

the best fruit of all actions. If one attains it, no further action is needed.

One might say it would not be possible for him to perfom action in the

light we understand it. Because, for such a yogi the sense of doership

is absent and he is a pure channel of the divine. When Paul Brunton

questioned Ramana as to whether such a person's action would be

always right He replied, "They ought to be. However, such a person

is not concerned with the right or wrong of action. His actions are

God's and are therefore right."

Dear Gabriele,

To this I would comment: For the yogi abiding in the natural state

having destroyed his mind is any action possible?

Who is it that acts? Does Brahman ever act?

Abiding in the natural state is abiding as Self, abiding as Brahman.

This is without beginning or end, changeless, without the

personal "I", without a world (etc.). What action is ever possible

for such?

We are not two,

Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Arunachalaramanaya

For the great yogi who is established as the

reality due to the death of the mind-form, there

is not any action(to do), (because) He has attained

His nature (His natrual state of Self abidance).
