K.Swaminathan This is the translation by the late distinguished Professor of English Literature at Delhi University ,Founder of the Delhi Kendra, and Editor of the Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi ..This is the translation currently used in the latest edition of Ramana's collected works published by the Ashram . Where is another consciousness to bring Existence to light ?because consciousness comes by existence and by consciousness the 'I' comes forth. Ganapati Muni ..Ramana wrote the Upadesa Saram in Sanskrit using rhyme and metre .The Muni , the Tamil Poet and Genius , one of Ramana's foremost disciples and friend translated them into Tamil verse with a commentary .This is an English translation of that work by his biographer S,Shankaranarayanan . As there is not a second consciousness to know Existence, it must follow that Existence is itself that consciousness ; So I myself am that same cosciousness . Chadwick Major Chadwick , a retired British Army major and Diplomat in South America was a resident at Ramanasramam in Bhagavan's lifetime .He Took Sanyas and was named Sadhu Arunachala .His Samahdi Tomb is in the Ashram .He was an amateur Poet and endeavoured to translate Ramana's Works in metrical form .In his memoirs he says that Ramana checked his versifications . The Translations by A.R.Natarajan the International Author and President of the Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning at Bangalore , the largest Ramana Kendra in India will be continued by Gabriel Ebert on her return from a journey . There is only The One Consciousness to know Our Being- Existence; thus it follows that Our Being-Existence is that same Consciousness ,so I Am , my Self, The One Consciousness ,or 'That'.
