We may also recall another metaphor Bhagavan used in aruNAcala ashTakam Verse no

5 (lines 6 & 7). "nizhaR paditagaTTin viNmaNi yoLipada nizhal padiyumO?"

Can a photographic plate exposed to sunlight ever record images of dark and

light ? nizhaR paditagaTTin = In photographic plate

viNmaNi yoLipada = if sun's rays fall

nizhal padiyumO ? = can shadows be recorded?

Can my mind exposed to the radiance of aruNAcala ever record images of the world?

=========

Carrying my ignorant mind carefully in darkness I move in the world of shadows,

oh Ramana! Pray grant me deliverance and expose me irretrievably to your

radiant brilliance.
