Guest guest
Dear Murthy , I think we have to be very cautious before criticising sadhaks who attempt to clarify their understanding of the teaching through writing and then pass it on to any others who may wish to benefit from it .From Letters From Sri Ramanasramam by Suri Nagamma who was in effect Bhagavan's secretary for many years ,we learn that he never discouraged devotees from writing about his teachings whether enlightened or not .He attentively read all manuscripts and poetry submitted and would correct where needed but never negated the effort .in fact the Classics Ramana Gita and Sat Darshana by K with the cooperation of Ganapati Muni were written prior to their Enlightenment and discussed with Ramana. From K's diaries we read no changes were deemed necessary .He approved these books which turned out to be masterpieces of Ramana Literature which were then published by the Ashram . Personally I find Richard's efforts a very helpful series for all those practicing Self Enquiry through the accepted approach of Discrimination by negating what is not the Self {as set out in Self Enquiry by Ramana].He raises a series of questions which lead to enquiry from many original and varied angles of approach which will bring the questioner back to his True Nature ..As a writer myself I know that one needs copyright protection especially when using the internet . i suppose all our postings are writings aimed at clarifying our understanding .Where would the Mountain Path have been if a Arthur Osborne and Sri Ganesan had to wait for contributions only from Jnanis ? Yours , in the joy of our Teaching , Alan .
