Guest guest
Is it not ignorance to know all but the all-knowing Self? When the latter, the substratum of both knowledge and ignorance, is known, knowledge and ignorance themselves both disappear. ~~~~~~~~~ S.S. Cohen ~~~~~~~~~ Can knowledge of everything, without Self-knowledge, be true knowledge? Awareness of the Self, which is the support of knower and known destroys the pair, knowledge and ignorance. ~~~~~~~~~~~ A.R. Natarajan ~~~~~~~~~~~ .... So long as one considers the 'I' as separate and independent, one can only be in the state of ignorance. Seer, seen and act of seeing would also be thought of as distinct from one another. "For one to whom the subject is not different from the Self, the object and cognition also do not appear different from the Self. For one to whom the subject is different from the Self, the object and the cognition also appear different from the Self. " (Ramana Gita, XII, 4f) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Comment A.R.
