Guest guest
Indeed. We should remain open so that earnest seekers have access to the group posts. > But such messages are certainly outwith the group guidelines on posting and take up space unnecessarily. It is simple enough for the moderators to delete them as soon as they appear. Or we could return to moderation of the first posts of all new members thereby rooting out the trivia at its source and avoiding unnecessary off-topic posts. Either option would be fine. It may be worthwhile introducing moderation for first posts so that spam mailers get blocked. We have had raids in recent times and this may grow. The welcome post mailed to new members first time may tell them about group objectives and that 1.) to avoid spam mails, memebership, to begin with, is moderated and that 2) when the first post sent by a member is received by the list owner/ moderator, moderation is removed. > Ever Yours in Sri Bhagavan,> Miles om gurave namah suri PS: If members feel that we can put up with the raids and not introduce moderation for new members, it is fine. Would like to see some response on this issue, either way. SMS using the Messenger; Download latest version.

Guest guest
om namo bhagavate sri ramanaya Dear Sri Suri, OK. Thank you. Two new spammers appeared today. And since there have been no objections...the changes suggested have now been implemented. Ever Yours in Sri Bhagavan, Miles -- RamanaMaharshi > Indeed.
