Ever abiding in the Heart

through the incessant mediation,

"I am Lord Shiva,

 

Who is pure knowledge,

free from all qualitative

limitations,"

removes all attachments of the ego.

Cast off all attachments from the mind

by constantly meditating

'I am that taintless,

blissful Consciousness

Which ever shines

untrammelled by the body sheaths.'

Having investigated the three states

waking,dream and deep sleep,

and holding steadfastly in your Heart

to the Supreme State,

above them and free from illusion,

play your part in the world

oh hero Raghava!*

You have realised in the Heart

That which is the substratum of reality

beneath all appearances.

Therefore without ever abandoning this viewpoint,

play your part in this world ,

as you please .
