Guest guest
The statement that the jnani retains prarabdha (karma worked out in the present) while free from sanchita (karma accumulated in the past) and agami (karma to be worked out in the future) is only a formal answer to the questions of the ignorant. Of several wives none escapes widowhood when the husband dies; even so, when the doer goes, all three karmas vanish. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Swaminathan ~~~~~~~~~~~~ To say that sanchita and agami do not adhere to the Jnani, but that prarabdha does, is merely a formal reply to the query put by others. Know that just as after the death of the husband none of his wives can remain unwidowed, so after the destruction of the doer none of the three karmas can remain. ~~~~~~~~ by Osborne ~~~~~~~~
Guest guest
The Jnani is a person whose mind has permanently dissolved in the Ultimate ( Self). It is akin to Eternal Slumber. If the body appears to exist it is for the benefit of other souls with 'minds'. The body is nothing but a bundle of Energy. It remains as a subtle projection. The word' Arabda' means that which has begun. Just as a dried leaf separates from the branch, is wafted by the winds and ultimately drops down and mingles with the soil, so does the subtle projection of the body of the Jnani carry on, as it were, till the Ajnanis perceive it to decay and die and be either buried or cremated. For the sake of the lesser evolved minds the same is explained away as ' jnani has prarabda karma and not sanchita and agami'. But the fact of existence is that on realization what continues to shine is only the Jnana, even from the space apparently filled by the body. There is no mind, there is no consciousness. In other words it is nothing but death of the mind, prior to death of the body. The state of such a 'person' is no different from that of an eternal somnambulist. Indeed it is beyond words! May the Grace of Bhagvan Ramana guide us all!
Guest guest
Dear Friends, As we have heard from our Dear Ramana at various times and in various ways, different explanations are given for different types of devotees. But the truth is that nothing exists except the SELF. If there is karma it is of the SELF. If the SELF or the jnani is without karma then there is no such thing as karma at all. regards, michael --- mallela sivaramakrishna <mallela_srkrishna wrote: > The Jnani is a person whose mind has permanently > dissolved in the Ultimate ( Self).
