Guest guest
It is those who are not learned that are saved rather than those whose ego has not yet subsided in spite of their learning. The unlearned are saved from the unrelenting grip of the devil of self- infatuation; they are saved from the malady of a myriad whirling thoughts and words; they are saved from running after wealth. It is from more than one evil that they are saved. Although he may renounce the whole world and acquire all knowledge, it is rare indeed for one to be saved who has sunk into subjection to the vile prostitute flattery. ~~~~~~~~~ by Osborne ~~~~~~~~~ The unlettered are easier saved than those who are learned but unsubdued. The unlettered are free from the clutches of the demon Pride, they are free from the malady of many whirling thoughts and words; they are free from the mad pursuit of wealth; they are free from many, many ills. Though a man looks on the world as a wisp of straw and holds all sacred lore in his hand, it is hard for him to escape from thraldom if he has yielded to vile Flattery, the harlot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ by Swaminathan ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
