Guest guest
SrI : Dear BhakthAs: I am embarassed to let you know that by accident (thru misunderstanding of a recent message to the Moderator) , I have erased all the 2,770 messages/postings in the Oppiliappan archives in one swoop.Too late to recover them now with my limited computer skills ! Oppiliappan List was started on March 9, 2002 and it is a pity that all the 2,770 messages are lost now! Therefore , if you are looking for Oppiliappan archival material, I am afraid that there will be none. Some of the postings might be found in sister lists, where I might have posted them .Saranagathy list archives have a few of them and ThiruvEngadam as well as Bhakthi list might have copies of other postings. Guest guest
SrI: Dear Sri Sadagopan mama I guess you can write to - helpline- and request for the same. In fact, NAMA -Singapore emails (all) were deleted not by one of the moderators- but by itself (??).. We wrote to and after a week, got back all emails in the archive. So PerumAL plays such mischief often to give us little shockes here and there (en aDiyaar delete paNNa maataar; seydhaalum nanRE seydhaar- enbar pOlum...) Guest guest
Dear Sri Sadagopan, Very sorry to hear about this. You have been a regular contributor to the T'vengadam Group and all your postings are available in the archives here. You are welcome to take copies of all your postings and load them back into Oppiliappan archives. If one your numerous computer-savvy friends can help do it with what I think is known as the 'files-import' facility, he/she is most welcome to contact me. Other members who want to access your postings are welcome to the T'vengadam Group archives anytime. Guest guest
Dear List members: One of the members invitied my attention to the gaps in archives of last week. In my efforts to remove some dated material from the archives , I picked by mistake select all instead of specific delete button and I erased the archives from Sep 2 -8. Once before I lost huge archives from March 2002 to April 2003 (?) due to a similar mistake arising from computer handling ignorance. The copies of these archives may be at Saranagathy and Thiruvenkadam lists. I regret the confusion. Ineed help on two fronts in running the Oppiliappan list: 1) Some one who can serve as co-moderator involvement in managing these archives and storing them in a way new space is available. will not give more than 35 MB even if one can pay for it. 2) make a seperation between dated material like upanyAsam announcement etc , which have no lasting value. Those who are intersted to help are requested to send me a private note . Thnak you all, V.Sadagopan
