Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Sri Pillai Lokacharya's Mumukshuppadi Sutra: 184. unakkE nAmALseyvOm ennumpadiyEyAga vENum. Meaning: The thought that the service is done for His pleasure should happen. Sri PBA Swami's Sarartha Deepikai: Nevertheless, the primary meaning of the nama: is the removal of the thought that it is done for the soul's benefit. Therefore, it is that prayer which should be in the mind when reciting it. When the service is performed, the thought that it is for the benefit of both the soul and the Lord should be avoided. Instead it should be performed for His pleasure alone ("unakkE nAm AtseyvOm"). Nammazhvar too said "thanakkEyAga enaik koLLumIdhE".
