Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Dear bhAgavatas, This is the last sutra in Dvaya PrakaraNam of Mumukshuppadi. Next is Carama Shloka PrakaraNam. adiyEn will once again stop for a couple of weeks for the chance to re-read the Dvaya PakaraNam in full, before starting on the translation of the next prakaraNam. adiyEn madhurakavi dAsan -- Sri Pillai Lokacharya's Mumukshuppadi Sutra: 187. marundhE nangaL bOga magizhcchikku ennA ninRadhiRE. Meaning: This prayer for removing the obstacles in the performance of the service is also seen in those Azhvar's pasurams which were written as the talk of the nithyasuris. Sri PBA Swami's Sarartha Deepikai: Can self satisfaction, which is the obstacle to the service, happen even in His abode? That this could happen is seen in Azhvar's pasuram "marundhE nangaL bOga magizhcchikkenRu perundhEvar kuzhAngaL pidhaRRum pirAn". Azhvar states that the nithyasuris say "nangaL bOga magizhcchikku marundhE!". That is, they are saying that He is the medicine that removes the self gratification that comes to them upon doing service and experiencing Him and protects their true nature. Thus, it is shown that there is reason for the recitation of the nama: even in His abode.
