Srimath Andavan's niyamanam to all Periashramam Andavan sishyas is as

follows

 

Yajur upakarma to be observed on July 13th, 2003. (A very detailed

explanation for this is given with references to Manu Smrithi, Bodhayana

and Aapasthamba)

Rig Upakarma to be observed on Sep 8th, 2003

Gayathri Japam to be observed all Vedins on Aug 12.

Respected Sirs,

 

It is really overwhelming to see the activities of this group and

adiyen fondly thanks the parmatman with folded hands prostrating at

His feet for initiating me into this world to and consider adiyen

worthy of knowing about the servitude of the multitude in this form

over the internet.

 

Though, for last two years I was trying to learn more about our

traditions, it is only now at the instance of one of the bhakta in

Dubai, that I learnt about the site.

 

Adiyen is a CA by profession and currently living in Aden, The

Republic of Yemen. To come across Hindus in this part is limited and

the variety makes worship incongruent. However, I try my best to keep

myself involved in some activity or the other, remembering Him always.

 

 

This year too, I am constrained to perform Avani attam (yajur vedin)

by myself at home. In this endeavour, I sincerely pray to respected

learneds to enlighten me the following :

 

a) The appropriate date of the upakarma.

b) The text of the upakarma (procedures & mantrams).
