One can write a lot about this krithi's many meanings and references. For the sake of brevity, I will just provide the translation by Dr. C.RamAnujAchAriAr: " May there be victorious Mangala , ever auspicious Mangala to the Lord with eyes full of compassion, praised by Siva , with feet bright and exceedingly charming , of incomparable personality , pervading all the VedAs , of acts praised by gods, the Lord of excellent vows! May there be victorious MangaLa, ever auspicious mangala to the Lord having teeth like jasmine buds , praised well by Sage Agasthya , Lord MaadhavA , who supported the Mandara mountain (during the KoormAvathAram), the father of the god of love (Manmathan) , the bestower of the excellent fruits that are sought after, formidable to the foes of the gods. May there be victorious Mangala, ever auspicious Mangala, to the Lord , who is benovolent to the whole world and who rsides in AyOdhyA , who is devoid of change, who honors merit , who is the Emperor patronizing ThyAgarAja, the pure God who bestows the fruit of Salvation". There are some beautiful phrases in this rare Sanskrit krithi of Saint ThyagarAja, which can be mapped to SrImad RaamAyaNam. For brevity, I will leave it here.
