Thanks for your postings on SrIHanuman

as adored by TuLasi Daas.

 

The only point I want to bring to your attention

from Part I is about all the four PurushArthams

are granted by Hanuman. In our tradition, HanumAn is

still here. He chose to be here to listen to

the story of Raama on this earth. He rejected Moksham

(The Fourth PurushArtham)from His Lord so he can enjoy

the nectar oflistening to RaamAyaNam on this earth.

He did not want to see the Bharatha Yuddham since He was

convinced that the Yuddham of Raama with RaavaNA had

no match for all times to come.He was in Arjuna"s flag

only meditaing on the valour of Raama.

 

In our orthodox tradition, we consider SrIman NaarAyaNa

as the only one , who can grant Moksham and Raama Bhaktha

HanumAn will hesitate to jump ahead of His Lord Raamachandran

to grant Moksham. When we worship HanumAn, we worship

Him with great affection and reverence for His unmatched

Raama Bhakthi and showing us the way to His Lord for salvation

(Moksham)that He decided to pass by in favor of SrI Raama Katha

SravaNam and staying on this earth to listen to Raama charithram

and lead us in Raama dhyAnam.He is accorded a very special

place in our salutations daily , when we salute the Lord as

" SitA LakshmaNa Hanumath SamEtha SrI Raamachandra

ParabrahmaNE Nama:"

How is this Hanuman. He is having Gyana , Guna (Sad

guna= forgiveness , Vairagya , dayaseelatha etc),

Sagar means ocean of knowledge (Sahitya, Sangeet,

Politics and gunas . Hanuman = Hanu means chin.

He has gone to swallow the sun after his birth. Then

Indra saw that a small kid going near the sun to

swallow . Who is he ? Then he used his weapon Vajra

that is why a cut in the chin is found in hanuman. It

is said that if Vajra is used on anyone then death is

sure. But hanuman only few minutees/days etc after

birth has borne the Vajra agat. So it is clear here

that who can bear the agat of VAJRA is called Hanuman.

 

Jai Kapees means king of Vanar . Here it is to

mention that king of Vanar was Vali and Sugreeva but

how tulsi das says hanuman as Kapees ? Because the

throne made of wood, steel etc will be broken one day

or other . In the same way hanuman was ruling the

hearts of everyone for all the time even till date,

so he is considered as Kapees. Kapi = Ka = Brahma

suk. Pi = Pibati = kaam brahma sukam pibati = kapi.

All are in bhrama sukam. His glory is being spread in

all the three worlds. He is ramdoot/sevak with

immeasurable bal . what is strength= the strength

which is kamarahit that is called strength . In big

bodybuilders u can find strength but with kama. But

hanuman was having kamarahit. Naithik bal was also

available with hanuman which will come only when we do

not have kama/raga.

 

adhulitha baladhamam swarna sailaaba dheham

 

He is son Anjana named Pawan Sut. Tulsi das like two

names of hanuman one is hanuman and pawan sut : Pawan

= Pawan servers us all in the universe continuously

but invisible. This is high class service. When we

serve anybody we want fruits. But u see Pawan=vayu

servers us all the 24 hours, 365 days without any

leave etc. and also he is invisible. This is very

high quality service not expecting any fame or reward

for service.

 

That is why Tulasidas likes these two names as already

explained above Hanuman + Pawan kumar.

 

All other or visible like sun is seen, moon is seen ,

water, is seen, mountain is seen, earth is seen but

vayu is not seen. Whereas Sun serves us only in

day, water when required, moon in night that too 15

days, but 24 hours, 365 days only vayu is serving us

without anybreak. In our body also eyes/nose/ears all

serves us but only that prana vayu serves us even in

our /jagarat/swapna/sushipti etc. Without eyes/ears

we can survive but without vayu we cannot survie.

Also it is to mention that in Ramayam, hanuman is

prana . He has saved mother sita . As she

wished to takr Herlife when ravan was troubling her and

hanuman in ashoka vatika from the tree sings the glory of lord

rama and saves mother sita. When lakhsman fainted

hanuman went and brought sanjeevni bhuti and in the

absence of sanjeevani bhooti the life of lakshmana is

in danger and if he lakshman dies due to non

availability of sanjeevani even rama also will die .

He saved the life of Bharat also after exile of rama

the time given by bharatji was coming to end so rama

told hanuman u go first and say bharat that we are

coming otherwise he will die. Hanuman is the prana

vayu in ramayan. Ramayana maha mala ratanam vande

anilathamakam

 

Mahaveer = The glory sung by lord they are said as

mahaveer . Only ordinary people sings means it is

veer only. Veeratha = Vidya veeratha, Ranaveer

=yudabhumi, Dhanveer = Karna , Dharma Veer = Tyag

veer. If we want to follow dharma we should be know

to sacrifice of selfishness,. That is the speciality

of Dharma veer. Dhaya veer = Karuna Lord rama has

even on his enemies. Out all these veer if a man posses one

auspicious quality he is called veer. When all the qualities are

possesed they are said to be Mahaveer. Hanuman has all

these qualities.

 

Vikaram = Parakrami he has never been defeated. The

kings win today and loose tomorrow but hanuman is

prakarami. Vajraangi = His body was like vajra .

Kumathi Nivar destroys of evil qualities and stays

with sumathi sangi.

 

What is Kumathi . The one which leads to Aharma is

called Kumathi which takes away from god

What is sumathi The one which makes to follow Dharma

is called sumathi and makes us near god. Here is to

mention that in Tulsi Sundar kand the following

verses. “ 39.4 of Tulsi Sundarkand”

 

“ Sumathi kumathi saba ke ura rahahi, natha purana

nigama asa kahahi “

 

Sumathi and kumathi is with everyone. When we follow

darham sumathi is with us. When we follow adharma

kumathi is on the lead.

 

His body is like gold. He wears kundal in the ear

and his hair is curly.

 

Haath Vajra Aur Dhwaja Viraje, Kandhe Moonje Janeu

Saaje.

Shankar Suvaan (swayam) Kesari Nandaan, Tej Pratapa

Maha Jaga Vandaan.

Vidhya Vaan Guni Aati Chatur, Ram Kaj Karive Ko Aatur.

Prabhu Charitra Sunibe Ko Rasiya, Ram, Lakhan, Sita

Man Basiya.

 

Hanuman is having Vajra in his hand and Dhwaja

Basically Vajra is possessed by Indra then how come

Hanuman is possessing ? When lord rama came to earth

he was possessing signs in his soul of the feet like shanka,

chakra etc like these. This Vajra is also a sign. And

Dhwaji represents victory which he was having. Or we

can say that Gada is made of Vajra .

 

He is wearing Janeu of Moongje Grass.

 

“There are different types of Janeu mentioned in Manu

smriti. This is one type. This shows the Sanskar.

Even now also we can see that there is a religious

function for wearing this Janeu. Earlier before

wearing Janeu whatever may be u are. But now u have

been given sanskar of Janeu Earlier whatever u might

have done ie., waking late , not doing pooja etc. but

when u r given this Janue, u have become dwija. You

should be in the limits of dharma maryada. In the

same manner Aksrabyas. Earlier u may not read after

doing this sanskar u should read henceforth.”

 

He is Lord Shankar himself came as Kesari Nandaan.

Lord siva wanted to do service to Lord Rama . He was

to serve him in all respects that lord rama should not

hesitate to tell him any work so he was born as

Hanuman. Lord rama cannot tell lakshman to take him

on his shoulder I am tired. But when hanuman meet

him he took lord rama and lakshman also on his

shoulder . so lord siva wants to serve lord rama in

all respects so he has taken this form of hanuman.

Lord siva wants to became a strong sevak of lord rama

..Shankar means sab kalyan . Jagat me vandaniya. He is Vidhyawan ,

Guna humility. He is aati chatur.He was at the tip

to do rama’s work. He was just waiting for the instruction

when he received he runs like anything. That much fast

for doing lord rama’s work. Even in sundarkand he did not

take rest at mainak parvath. That much aatur to do the work of

lord rama.

 

“RAMA KAJU KINHE BINU MOHI KAHA BISRAMA”

 

When lakshmanji fainted hanuman went very fast to

do the lord rama’s work so that much aatur for doing

the work of lord rama. “ But we people are Rama nama

me allasi, bhojan me hosiyar ie., we are very lazy to

take the name of lord rama but we are very brisk in

eating food” .

Hanuman when at work he is very fast and at the same

time he enjoys Ramakatha/Ramacharita etc. those who

wants to hear the lords glory he should be sumathi. He

should be haridas and he should be rasik .

 

yathra yathra raghunatha keerthanam

thathra thathra kruthamathookanjjalim

bashbawari paripoorna lochanam

maruthim namatha raksha-shanthakam ||

 

He has ram, lakshman and sita in his heart or he is

the heart of ram, lakshman and sita or we can say that

hanuman possess “ Ram = Gyana, Sita = Bhakti &

Lakshman = Vairagya.” We can see individual temple of

Hanuman but we cannot see a Ram temple without hanuman

that means when we install hanuman, there all the

three ram, lakshman and sita are already there in

hanuman’s heart.

 

Kindly forgive this small devotee if any mistakes is

there. Kindly send ur corrections so that I can
