Guest guest
The next sUthram as suggested by srimAn purushOthama nAidu is sUthram 131: ‘perukkARu pala thalaithu, kadalai nOkkumA poLE , nekku osindhu karaindhu alaindhu idnindhu vudaiya perugu kAdhal, kadal idam koNda kadalai bhahumugamAga ' That is, though AzhwAr attains the ‘feminine accent’ ‘peN pEachu’ and the various sects in that like’thAi’ thalaivi thOzhi’ the utmost affection andlove does not get diluted on his own form. This is being explained in this sUthram. Flooding river branches into several directions but the river does not change its course and steadily flows towards the ocean. Similarly, though AzhwAr’s emotional emancipation exhibits into various forms like feminine characters of maternal, friends (thOzhi) thalaivi etc. the main love and emotion towards the Lord does not change and goes on unabated. Thus, the Lord is being reached in several forms by the AzhwAr but the basic emotion goes on and on, which is being explained here. vAnamAmalai padmanAbhan
