Guest guest
Having seen that AzhwAr on seeing The Lord in other things got exhilarated. What happened to thondaradip podigaL? thirumAlaip pAsuram " kuda dhisai mudiyai vaithu, guna dhisai pAdham nEtti, vada dhisai pinbu kAtti, then dhisai ilangai nOkki, kadal niRak kadavuL endhai aravaNai thuyilumAk kaNdu, vudal enakku vurugumAl O! en seigEan, vulagathErEa" thirumAlai 19. Having observed the beauty of the Lord of Thiruvarangam AzhwAr melts due to emotional involvement. He addresses the wordl" Oh the people of the World, I am melting, what shall I do?" Here a question is raised by swAmi periyavAchAn piLLai. Why does the AzhwAr address the world- en seigEan vulagathErEA? Why not raise this question to other AzhwArs who had the similar experience. Alas! they had also melted. Hence, how can they address his problem and solve it. Only the people of the World who are not perturbed by such observation can throw up a solutionand hence he addresses the world. The text of the commentary runs as follows: " thammOdu sajAdhEyarAi irukkiRa AzhWargaLaik kEatkil, vOttai vodathOdu, vozhugal vOdamumAm ithanaiyirE" Hence, thondar adip podigaL seeks the world for a solution. to be continued vanamAmalai padmanabhan
