Guest guest
periAzhwAr s anubhavam Did periyAzhwAr melt during his encounter with the Lord? It is well known that periyAzhwAr was much more concerned about the welfare of the LOrd. However, he melted completely and drank the Lord unto him. this is brought out in the pAsuram "kadal kadaindhu amudham koNdu kalasathai niRaithAR pOl, vudal vurugi vAi thirandhu maduthu unnai niRaithuk koNdEan.." periyAzhwAr thirumozhi 5-4-4 Thus periAzhwAr cherishes the Lord after his whole physique melts and becomes like a vessel where the Lord fills the vessel. Here a question is asked : When the soul is already in an extreme state, physique has melted, how is it that the Lord is being filled and stored in the vessel -periAzhwAr? "vittuchithan manam" enRu avvamirdham vyAbitha idam ellAm thiruvuLLam vyAbhikkum" enRu bhattar aruLich cheidhAr. The mind and soul of the AzhwAr will pervade wherever the Lord pervades in. Such an extreme devotion is bequeathed by the Lord Himself. "aRivai ennum amudha ARu" enRu parama bhakthi piRandhapadi sonnAr. ingu pirpaitha kramam sollugiRAr. In the second pAsuram periyAzhwAr mentions the fact that he was blessed with an extreme devotion. Here he explains how such blessing has come -"unnai niRaithuk koNdEan vanamamalai padmanabhan
