Guest guest
Dear SrEvaishNavites, First and foremost I thank sri sadagopan iyengar for triggering a train of thought in mind which enabled me to recall and refer vyAkyAnam-s of pUrvAchAryAs. Thanks for the food for the thought. In srE vachaNa bhUshaNam 43 st sUthram states" agnAnathAlE prabhannar asmathAthigaL, gnAnAthikathAlE prabhannar pUrvAcharyargaL;bhakthip pAravyasathAlE prabhannar AzhwArgaL" Although this sUthram is being spelt out in a different context, the following lines are relevant in this regard. prabhannar-s are categorised into three. One with lack of knowledge. We fall into this slot. One with pre-dominant knowledge. Our preceptors-pUrvAchAryargaL are in this category and Prabhannar-s with extreme devotion -bhakthi-p pAravyasyam-AzhwArgaL are no doubt in this class. When even prabhannar can fall into a category of "ignorant" group we who cannot even be termed as prabhannar are certainly below that. We need thus Lord's blessing for seeing the Lord.
