AN APPEAL

Dear Bhakthas / Bhagavathas / SWAMIN,

This year happens to be MAHAMAHAM YEAR,

most of the temples in and around KUMBAKONAM are renovated / samprokshanam

performed. The Azhwarkoil being the birth place of Sri Thondaradipodi

Azhwar, this year we are planning to construct MAHA MANDAPAM at Sri Renganayika

Sametha Sri Ranganatha Perumal, Sri Thondaradipodi Azhwar Sannadhi at Thirumandangudi

(AZHWARKOIL ).

Kindly treat this as personal appeal

to one and all who see this.

We are glad to declare that a group of

devotees (Trustees, Chartered Accountant, Engineer, Teachers, Religious

minded scholars and devotees from U.S.A.) jointly make all the arrangements

involve in the PAVITHRA UTSAV for the past 6 years and made it a grand

success.

We have started the celebrations

of Pavithra Utsav in the year 1998 in a very very small manner with

a total expenditure of Rs.5000/-. Due to the support of Divya Thambathis

and devotees, every year the celebration is witnessing improvement

considerably.

I. Necessity for construction of

Maha Mandapam: This mandapam will be constructed within

the Praharam and Thirumathil. This is in front of Thayar Sannathi

/ Azhwar Sannadhi measuring 20 x 50. During Utsav / Thirumanjanam

all the devotees could not see at present because it is being done in the

Asthana Mandapam which is very small in size.

II. We

are planning for Sri Vaishnava Thathi Aaradanam during MAHAMAHAM

at this temple. The temple requires the MAHA MANDAPAM for this

purpose also.During UTSAV, for Ghoshti and distribu-III.

Of prasadam, the proposed MANDAPAM will be much useful to protect
