"vEdu seidhu maRRevaiyum mikka pugazh nAraNan thAL,

nAdu nalathAl adaiya nanguraikkum;nEdu pugazh

vaN kurughUr mARan indha mAnilathOr thAm vAzha

paNbudanE pAdi aruL pathu"

 

 

1. The first word startts with 'vEdu' which is not only the last word

of the preceding pAsuram but also the first word of

thiru voi mozhi next padhigam" vEdumin muRRavum" 1-2

 

2.The essence of the aforementioned thiru voi mozhi is the counselling

by swAmi nam-AzhwAr for attaining salvation which is - leave

everything and surrender unto Him. This is conveyed from the first

two lines of this pAsuram

namely -vEdu seidhu maRRevaiyum mikka pugazh nAraNan thAl.

 

3. The last word of this Asuram is pathu which is not only the last

word of the padhigam 1-2 of thiru voi mozhi but also the first word

of the next thiru voi mozhi "pathudai adiyavarku eLiyavan" 1-3-1.

 

4.nEdu pugazh vaN kurughUr mARan in the third line of this verse praises swAmi nam-AzhwAr
