In case of mAmunikal his gAmbeeryam is well known from his divya srisookthis. While talking about Sribhashyam, Sri sudarsana bhattar says, “bhAshyam chEth vyavrunOth svayam yathi pathir vyAkhyAnavAchAm thathA gAmbheeryAth”. Mamunikal’s gAmbeeryam is even greater than the above said gAmbeeryam. This has been firmly established by prathivAdi bayangarAchAryar (one of mAmunikal’s ashtadiggajas) in his vara vara muni sathakam “surAhArAsAreekaraNasaNa yathsookthi laharigareeyasthAm stOthum pravavathi na vAchaspathirapi” and in many such slokas. 6. kAlushyasya kathA prasangarahitha:- There is no chance for the ocean to become muddy. It is just an exaggeration when thirumangai azhvar said, “kalanga munneer kadaindhu amudham kondu” though the nature of the ocean is to be clear always. Mamunikal is a great scholar in all the sastras and hence there is absolutely no chance for him to get confused in any matter. Some pandits who are really confused refuse to accept the same and point their fingers at others and say “Some get confused in this manner; Let’s clear their doubt”. But in contrast to them swamy mAmunikal was totally out of all confusions and also clarifies the confusions of all and hence we celebrate him by the verses,”senthamizh vEdhiyar sindhai thelindhu sirandhu magizhindhidunAl-Iypassiyil thirumoolama thenu nAlE” Mamunikal’s vyakhyanams to all the rahasya granthams are so very clear that no one can really equal swamy in such clarity. 7. vElAnadheetha:- The ocean never crosses its shore limit unlike the rivers and lakes which sometimes flood and spoil all the nearby landscapes. “rAjyancha thava rakshEyam aham vElEva sAgaram”. In the case of mAmunikal, swamy never crossed the limit, which has been specified, by the sruthi, ithihasa puranas and azhvar acharya srisookthi’s anywhere in his works. Swamy himself says,”munnOr mozhindha murai thappAmal kEttu pinnOrindhu thAM adhanai pEsAdhE thannenjil thOndrinadhayE solli edhu suththa upadesa vara vAttrathenpAr moorkarAvAr” and that is why we celebrate him as “poiyillAdha manavAlamAmuni pundhi vAzhi” 8. druva:- The ocean exists always. Even when the world is devastated the ocean remains. “pArellAm nedunkadalE Ana kAlam” (the earth is submerged into the sea). Similarly mAmunikal and his greatness will remain forever. “adiyArgal vAzha aranga nagar vAzha ……kadal soozhindha maNNulagam vAzha manavAla mAmuniyE! ennum oru nootrAndu erum” is our daily prayer. May the divine acharya live in our thoughts and minds forever and bless us with bhagavat/bhagavata/acharya kainkaryam forever.
