Guest guest
thiru voi mozhi nURRandhAdhi ArAmudhAzhwAr Adharitha pERugaLai thArAmaiyAlE thalarndhu miga, thErAdha Asaiyudan ARRAmai pEasi alamandhAn mAsaRu sEr mARan emmAn." 48 1. The first word of the pAsuram starts with the\ word 'ArAamudhu" which is also the first term of the "ArA amudhEa" padhigam of thiru voi mozhi 5-8. 2. The aformenetioned "ArAvamudhEa" padhigam explains the experience of AzhwAr in the sense of expecting to see Him and mix with Him and not getting this desire so fulfilled, he breaks into emotional outbursts like crying, falling at His feet, dancing and so on " azhuvan, thozhuvan, AdikkANban..." thiru voi mozhi 5-8 thus spelling out His unfulfilled desire and in the tenth pAsuram stating with despair " unakkAt pattum, adiyEan innam uzhalvEnO!" Even after becoming subservient to YOu, I am still lingering here. 3. Both the padhigam and this pAsuram finish with the term mAn -namely emmAn in this pAsuram and "mAnEai" in the thiru voi mozhip padhigam which is the first letter of the next padhigam "manEi nOkku nallEr". 4. "mAsaRu sEr mARan" is the praise and respect to the AzhwAr (to be continued) vanamamalai padmanabhan
