Guest guest
Dear tcav, I am reminded of the tenth pAsuram of thiru mozhi 8-2-10 "kAr mali kaNNa purathu em adigaLa, pAr mali mangaiyarkOne parakAlan sol, sEr mali pAdal ivai pathum vallavr, nEr mali vaiyathu nEdu niRpArgaLE" In this pAsuram, thiru mangai AzhwAr mentions that the devotees who are submerged in these ten pAsuram-s are likely to be well settled in this world.Normally, AzhwAr's pAsuram-s are dense with spiritual knowledge and devotion and ultimately likely lead to salvation. LO! here it is stated that AzhwAr's pAsuram will sustain us more and more in this wretched world. Wretched world in the sense that it bathes us into the samsArA. Here, swAmi periyavAchAn piLLai vyAkyAnam has to be comprehended for an understanding of this pAsuram. nEr mali vaiyathu nEdu niRpArgaLE: " kadal sUzhnhda bhUmiyilE sirakAlam vAzhap peRuvargaL. idhu kaRRArkup palam samsArathil irukkaiyA enna? paramapadhathil theLLiyEr illayE;theLLiyEr vuLLadhu ingEa anROA! Such a kind of enjoyment of auspicious of emperumAn's qualities like "theLLiyEr" is not available in parama padham. It is available in this world and hence the need for lenghty life here. Here, thiruvadi's desire to stay back here is also recalled. Didnt thondaradippodi AzhwAr state that "achuvai peRinum vEndEan" thirumAlai 2. Are we not also indeed fortunate to cherish and relish arulichcheyal, vyAkyAnam-s and now the website interactions? Great. vanamamalai padmanabhan [ramanuja] A Day in the Life of our Acharyas - 31 Sri:Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama:After Sriman Narayana offered Bhattar paramapadam and heaccepted it, Bhattar said "If I don't see the following, namely, the divine feet pressed on the lotus flower, thedivine hand that removes fear, the divine crown, thedivine smile, the fair, beautiful and divine face, and the kasturi thilakam on the forehead in Paramapadam (as seen in Namperumal), then I will rip a hole in a corner of paramapadam, jump down and come back (to Srirangam)".Azhvar Emberumanar Jeeyar Thiruvadigale SharanamA Day in the Life of Our Acharyas:http://www.acharya.org/articles/aditlooa/index.htmlazhwAr emberumAnAr jeeyAr thiruvadigalE saranamYour use of is subject to the
