Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Periya Thirumozhi 7-1-1 pasuram: kaRavA madanAgu than kanRuLLinAl pOl maRavAthadiyEn unnaiyE azhaikkinREn naRavAr pozhil sUzh naRaiyUr ninRa nambi piRavAmai enaippaNi enthai pirAnE Amudhanar tried to explain the first phrase in the pasuram "kaRavA madanAgu than kanRu uLLinAl" as, a cow that has not been milked yet (kaRavA madanAgu), thinking about its calf (than kanRu uLLinAl). However, this did not fit the meaning of the rest of the pasuram, as Azhvar uses this comparison to say that he is crying to the Lord in the same fashion. Bhattar then interpreted the phrase as, the calf whose mother has not been milked yet (kaRavA madanAgu than kanRu), thinking about its mother (uLLinAl). This, fit the rest of the pasuram correctly.
