Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Bhattar was once discoursing on Thirumangai Azhvar's Siriya Thirumadal. In the pasurams, there is a description of Sri Krishna's act of stealing butter while Yasoda is gone and then being caught by her. One of the lines goes "thArAr thadanthOLkaL uLLaLavum kai neeti", describing Krishna as putting his hands up to his shoulders into the pot with butter. Nanjeeyar asked Bhattar "How did Yasoda know that Krishna had put his hands up to his shoulders into the pot, when He would have cleaned his hands completely so that He would not be caught for stealing butter?" Bhattar replied "Yasoda knew it because she saw the turmeric from Sri Krishna's shoulders and body that rubbed off on the edges of the pot".
