When did AzhwAr became so deeply involved in these dhivya dhEsam-s? 2. What was the age when AzhwAr commenced this prabhandham? 3.What is the nature/sweetness of this prabhandham? The answers to the above questions are : 1. AzhwAr's deep involvement in the dhivya-dhEsam-s blossomed even before a person becomes mature - paruvam nirambuvadhaRku munnEa. This is also referred from thiruvirutham pAsuram -60 "mualaiyO muzhu muRRum pOndhilE".- She is not yet fully grown up as a maiden. this is to enunciate the fact that AzhwAr intense intimacy with the LOrd commenced very early from the childhood. 2.AzhwAr started this prabhandham at the age of 16 which is likened to a 16 day full moon. 3. There is a saying that proof of eating is in the pudding. Accordingly the sweetness of AzhwAr's prabhandham can be determined from the fact who are all enjoying this prabhandham. a. "pAlEi thamizhar, isaikArar, bakthar parvaum Ayiram" thiru voi mozhi 1-5-11; ' thUmudhal bhakthaRku thAn thannaich chonna" thiru voi mozhi 7-9-3 Both the above verses indicating the sweetness to the souls of this world. b. 'kEttu ArAr vAnavargaL chevikkiniya senjollE" thiru voi mozhi 10-6-3,pointing to the fact that the nithya sUringaL/ souls in the world above are enjoying this prabhandham ceaselessly. c. " en nAvil in kavi" thiru voi mozhi 3-9-1 mentioning that the prabhandham originating from the AzhwAr is sweet for AzhwAr also; d. 'pAr paravu inkavi pAdum paramarE' thiru voi mozhi 7-9-5 reflecting that the whole universe is reverberating with the enjoyment of AzhwAr's prabhandham; Thus the content and the words are so mixed like amudham mixed with milk- pAlOdu amudham kalandhAR pOle- emanated from AzhwAr. vanamamalai padmanabhan
