After Bhattar attained His divine abode, his brother

Sriramappillai came home and seeing the empty home

fell down crying and was greatly distressed.

 

Seeing that, his mother Andal said "You are not

qualified to be born to Sri Kooratthazhvan. Are you

not happy for the great thing (His lotus feet) that

Bhattar has gained? If you keep doing this, then I

will leave from here".

 

Sriramappillai then fell at Andal's feet and asked

for her forgiveness.

 

Then he went to worship Periya Perumal. Sri Ranagantha

told him "It is We who lost Bhattar. But We are here

for you. So do not worry".

 

Sriramapillai then continued to lead the sampradhayam.
