Guest guest
AchArya Hrdhayam 211 contd. In the previous posts, we dealt with iRai nilai, vuyir nilai and thadai. That is, the nature of the Lord, the nature of the soul and the hassles in attaining Him. The means of attaining Him are spelt out by AzhwAr in "nORRA nAlum" 1.nORRa nOnbu ilEan: the thiru voi mozhi "nORRa nOnbilEan" detailing on the means of attaining Him culminating in the pAsuram "ARenakku nin pAdhamE charaN Agath thandhozhindhAi" 5-7-10; spelling out that the divine feet of the Lord is the way to attain HIm without any quid-pro-quo. and the three thiru voi mozhi-s following this: 2. ARA amudhEA: 5-8 ;mentioning "kaLaivAi thunbam kaLaiyAdhozhivAi" and 'kazhalgaL avaiyE charaNAgath thandhozhindha" 5-8-11 spelling out the the Lord has given His feet as the resort to AzhwAr. 3. mAnEi nOkku nallEr: 5-9; mentioning nam-perumAn adimEal shEmam koL then kurughUrch satakOpan, reflecting AzhwAr taking refuge in the Lord's divine feet. 4. piRandhavARum: 5-10; declaring nAganai misai nampirAn charanE charaN namakku" 5-10-11 proclaiming that the Lord's divine feet is the only refuge to us. thus in the aformentioned four successive thiru voi mozhi-s AzhwAr lists out the only means - the Lord - His feet. vanamamalai padmanabhan
