Guest guest
AchArya Hrdhayam -219 contd. The Lord graced AzhwAr by His voluntary Grace and settled in Azhwar's mind. AzhwAr appreciated his mind for this and cherished the qualities of the Lord. He started counselling the fellow souls regarding the do-s and dont-s and gave thirumandhiram's essential elements to them. Further, "..i.eLidhAga avadharithu, ii. pizhaigaLai sahithu, iii.puraiARak kalandhu,iv.alpa sandhushtanAi, v.amrudhamE aushadhamAkki..." Summary: Such a great Lord is easily accessible. He does not take cognizance to our mistakes while approaching Him. He mixes us with us totally. He is very happy and satisfied with even small things offered to Him with sincerity. This whole process of approaching Him itself is the remedy for the samsAram whcih is akin to converting the nectar into medicine-amrudham becoming aushadham. These are thus seen in the third to seventh padhigam of first pathu of thiru-voi-mozhi. The pAsuram-s which show us these qualities are: i."eLidhAga avadharithu"----> the 3rd padhigham--> "pathudai adiyavarku eLiyavan" deals entirely with this aspect. For instance, "pal piRappil eLivarum iyalvinan" 1-3-2; The Lord's saulabhyam-easy accessibility is emphasised. He incarnates and is easily approchable.=saulabhyam ii."pizhaigaLai sahithu"-----> the 4th padhigam--> When surrendering unto Him He does not attributes weightage to our mistakes; "en pizhaithAL thiruvadi in thagavinukku " 1-4-7 -poRai; iii. "purai aRak kalandhu"--->the 5th padhigam-->Not only that He condones our mistakes but even when the soul tries to drift-off considering ones inferiority, the Lord freely mixes with them. " dhisaigaL ellAm thiruvaidyAl thAyOn thAn vuruvanEa" 1-5-3;sElam; iv."alpa-sandhustanAi"----> the 6th padhigam---> For all this what does He require in quid-pro-quo? Nothing. He is satisfied with whatever little offered to Him. alpa-sandhustan.-"purivadhuvum pugai pUvEA" 1-6-1. v."amrudhamEA aushadham Akki"---> the 7th padhigam--> He being approached is the sweetest nectar i.e. amrudham. This itself is the panacea for the cycle of rebirths. -->aushadham.---> "thUya amudhaip parugip parugi en mAyap piRavi mayarvaruthEanEa" 1-7-3. note: the quotes from the achArya hrdhayam text are given in red. The thiru-voi-mozhip padhigam-s are given in pink. the thiru-voi-mozhi quotes are given in italics and the auspicious quality of the Lord experienced by AzhwAr are given in blue, for easy identification purpose.
