Guest guest
- Madhuramurali madhuramurali (AT) madhuramurali (DOT) org Tuesday, January, 2004 12:14 AM An Important Announcement An important announcement! Vedas is the root of all Dharma in the world. The Vedas was the first to come into existence. Thus, Bhagavaan was at first in the form of Mantra (‘Mantra murti’). His (Bhagavaan’s) Avatar came up only later. Divya Desams came into existence due to Avatars. Aazhwaars’ Avatars came up only to sing the praises (kirtan) of the Perumaals (Lord) of these Divya Desams. It is on the same basis that the first to come up in our establishments is the Veda paatasaala, Sri Saandeepani Gurukulam. Today, there are about 70 students learning Krishna Yajur Veda and Saama Veda here. From time to time ‘Sadas’ and such other gatherings are called for and Vedic Scholars honoured. Next, renovation and ‘kumbaabhishekha’ of Temples, particularly the Divya Desams, was taken up. The first such ‘kumbaabhishekha’ was performed for ‘Arimeya Vinnagaram’, one of the Thirunaangoor (near Siirgaazhi) Divya Desams. Following this, renovation and ‘kumbaabhishekha’ of innumerable Temples have been performed within a short period. Further, many ‘Thiruppanni’ are being performed. The above-mentioned Veda ‘Samrakshana’ (nurturing the Vedas) and Temple renovation work are being done through various philanthropists. To crown it all, the Maha Mantra kirtan, “Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare! Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare!” is being spread all over Tamizh Nadu particularly in villages, especially in areas occupied by the down trodden. Wherever we go, people receive us with enthusiasm. In many places, people are personally performing “Hare Rama” Naamasankirtan in their homes as also in public places. While visiting these places it is heart rendering to hear the people’s experience of the various good happenings in their lives as a result of the performance of “Hare Rama” Naamsankirtanam. His Holiness Sri Sri Swamiji desires to bless ‘Prasad’, personally, to those who have taken the initiative in every Town/Village to perform this Maha Mantra Kirtan as also to those who are performing this Maha Mantra Kirtan in their homes every Sunday. 26th instant is the second ‘Pratishtta Din’ (the day of installation) of Sri Kalyaana Srinivaasa Perumaal Temple in our Ashram precincts. That is to say “Vasanta Panchami” this year falls on Janurary 26th. Being Republic Day it is a holiday for all. Using this opportunity if everyone could visit the Ashram he/she will be able to receive ‘Prasad’ directly from the hands of His Holiness Sri Sri Swamiji. This year, His Holiness Sri Sri Swamiji will personally visit and bless all Towns and Villages wherever Naamasankirtan is being performed. DR. A. BHAGYANATHAN Personal Secretary to H.H.
