THE EIGHTH TEN

The Lord possesses immense knowledge and immeasurable power

culminating into tremondous force, which was seen in the seventh ten.

Accordingly, the Lord had the things which emit happiness eternally-

which is termed as sathya kAman- the quality empahsised in this ettAm

pathu. The Lord wanted to assuage AzhwAr's yearnings and restore him

to normal self. AzhwAr due to non exprience of the Lord became

confused, had doubts regarding His nature and qualities and became

afraid of this world of briths and rebirths. The Almighty reminded

AzhwAr reg. the grace showered upon AzhwAr. AzhwAr immediately out of

gratitude submitted his soul. The Lord's yield was immeasurable

satisfaction -peRAp pEARu. However, having seen AzhwAr distance

himself -as AzhwAr suddenly develops the feeling of being

inferior-naichiyam- the Lord highlighted and displayed the nature of

the soul-Anma swarUpam. AzhwAr became further clear reg.' the means

and the end'

The means and the end are different usually. However, both are same

here. The means and the end are one and the same. The Lord Almighty

is both the means and the end, is the message delivered in the ettAm

pathu.
